Tribal senior center and adult day center directors and managers are the subject matter experts and frontline in assisting their community’s tribal elders.
OIEA works closely with tribal providers to support New Mexico’s 23 Tribes, Pueblos & Nations in the development of a comprehensive and coordinated service system of tribal senior centers and adult day services centers
Key Areas of Support:
- Manages the IAAA & supports NAAA/DALTCS
- Facilitate supplemental funding opportunities for tribal providers
- Advocacy
- Provides technical assistance & training

Navajo Nation senior centers located in New Mexico.
OIEA supports & collaborates with the Navajo Nation Division of Aging and Long-Term Care Services (DALTCS).
Indian AAA
PSA 6 (IAAA)19 Pueblos, Jicarilla Apache Nation and Mescalero Apache Tribe.
ALTSD OIEA is the designated IAAA for PSA 6.
