47th Annual New Mexico Conference on Aging, hosted by New Mexico Aging Services. 

This year’s theme, “EngAGE as You Age,” reflects our commitment to meaningful engagement, vibrant community, and aging with dignity. From wellness programs to outdoor adventures, arts, and networking, this event is designed to uplift and inspire older adults across New Mexico. 

The presenting sponsor of this year’s event is Anchorum Health Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing community health and wellbeing. Their mission aligns seamlessly with our focus on dignity, connection, and whole-person health for older adults.

General Registration is $40 for all attendees and includes all programming, activities, breakouts, and meals over the three-day conference, as well as free shuttle transportation to and from Santa Fe.

Registration for the 47th Annual New Mexico Conference on Aging is now open through August 29.

This year’s event will take place at the Glorieta Conference Center from September 23 – 25 and is presented by the Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) and the Anchorum Health Foundation.

This year’s conference theme, “EngAGE as you Age,” will focus on healthy aging and vibrant living. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in informative sessions, recreational activities, and get connected with important resources.

Registration cost is $40 and includes:

  • Access to all keynote presentations, breakout sessions and panels.
  • Entry to the resource expo.
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks during the conference.
  • Interactive and recreational activities, including stargazing, pickleball, mini golf and guided hikes.
  • Admission to the social dance, featuring live entertainment from New Mexico music legend Al Hurricane Jr.
  • Free shuttle service between Santa Fe and the Glorieta Conference Center.

This year’s commemorative artwork was created by Ronnie Dukes, a Black artist and illustrator based in Chaparral, NM. Ronnie is the Chief Creative Officer of DUKEScomics LLC and has worked with numerous health, education, and community partners. His comic-style piece captures older adults in joyful and supportive activities, from water aerobics and bird feeding to singing, painting, and spending time outdoors.
