Registration is free for the first 1000 participants from the statewide senior and adult day center programs, New Mexico Aging Services program participants in New MexiCare, Kinship Care, Veterans Direct, Ombudsman volunteers, Senior Employment Program, AmeriCorps volunteers and SHIP/SMP volunteers, Home & Community Based Waiver participants and Adult Protective Services participants.  

If you are not part of one of these programs, we encourage you to get connected to a local senior center in your area.  Please call 800-432-2080 or visit Senior Centers – New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department – ALTSD to find one near you. Your local senior center will register you to become an active member and at that time you would be eligible for free registration.

Can I drive myself?  There is no public parking on-site at Glorieta. All parking will be reserved for Senior Center Vans and will require a parking permit.  

Due to limited parking, on-site parking at Glorieta is only available through group bus and van permits.  Public parking is available at the Capitol lot building with a free shuttle to Glorieta or from a host hotel in Santa Fe.

Group bus and van parking must be indicated on registration as permits will be issued for access.

 Attendees with an on-site Glorieta hotel reservation will have a designated parking lot and access permit.

Senior Centers are allowed to park on-site at Glorieta as long as during registration, each person selects their senior center name and chooses “I am riding in my senior center van.”

Each center will receive one parking placard permit for every vehicle that accommodates 10 or more passengers.  This placard should be hung from the vehicle’s rearview mirror upon arrival. Each placard is color-coded and assigned to a specific parking lot to help direct vehicles efficiently.

Caring Across Generations

The State of New Mexico worked diligently with Glorieta to ensure that no provisions in the venue’s contract or terms of use prohibit any group of citizens from participating in the Conference on Aging. The state made it clear from the beginning that this event must be open, inclusive, and welcoming to all participants.

The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the conference, including programming, speakers, exhibitors, and marketing. Glorieta is serving solely as the venue and is not involved in any planning, content review, or decision-making related to the conference.

If you are unable to attend, please notify us at altsd.coa@altsd.nm.gov. While refunds are not available, your cancellation allows us to better manage the event logistics and accommodate others from the waitlist.

Yes, attendees must check in at the registration table upon arrival. There will be signage throughout the venue, as well as volunteers helping you navigate.

New Mexico Aging Services will be coordinating shuttles throughout both days of the conference to and from various locations in Santa Fe. Please visit our transporation tab.

2026 COA Agenda at a Glance

We are working diligently to ensure the venue is accessible for individuals with disabilities. This includes providing onsite shuttle transportation to help attendees move between program areas, as well as placing seating along walking paths so attendees can take breaks as needed. Elevator access is available, though limited, so we encourage attendees to use stairs or outdoor ramps when possible.

Yes, the conference will have an ASL interpreter, as well as Spanish translation through headsets.

Coming Soon

Outside food is allowed as a snack, but please be mindful of other attendees with allergies and dietary restrictions.  

We recommend bringing a notebook and pen to take notes during the informative breakout sessions, as well as a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, as some sessions are outdoors. 

Please wear layered, comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes.
